My Fave Plugins: WP Automatic Upgrade

Not too long ago I had been introduced to this fabulous plugin called WP Automatic Upgrade, and it is a Wordpress plugin that when installed makes it super simple for you to upgrade your blog to the most recent version of Wordpress.

I think this is a great plugin, because with all the recent updates of Wordpress, and with all the Wordpress users out there who really don’t know how to upgrade their Wordpress blog or are a little intimidated by the whole process, I think this plugin definitely deserves a lot of attention!

I will admit at first I was a little skeptical, and wondering how well it worked or if there were any errors associated with it. But when I gave it a try I was very impressed with:

1. When you go to upgrade the whole plugin takes you through a backup process. They backup your current Wordpress blog and database, and it prompts you to download the files to your computer before you move onto the next step (and I highly recommend you DO download these files to your computer.)
2. Another fabulous step this plugin takes when upgrading your Wordpress blog, is that it deactivates all your plugins for you, and when you are done with the upgrade it reactivates them. I guess it is the little details and steps that this plugin directs you through that puts me in awe of it!
3. As if that wasn’t enough, it also puts your website in maintenance mode while you upgrade, now I know I would never do that when upgrading my blog on my own!
4. The last thing I love about this plugin is that with the backups, deactivating and reactivating your plugins, puttign your blog in maintnance mode, and with the upgrade, the entire process takes less time than it would if I were upgrading my blog manually! It didn’t take very long at all, which was quite surprising, and there were no errors!

So there you have it, my NEW favorite Wordpress plugin.
